Because topicals are designed not to break the blood-brain barrier, they won’t cause any psychoactive effects or make you feel “high”, even if a topical contains THC. Generally, CBD is hailed for its pain-relieving effects but with a topical, THC can actually amplify its effectiveness.  These two cannabinoids have been shown to work in tandem to relieve symptoms and heal affected areas.
