WHERE DID THIS BEAUTIFUL PLANT COME FROM?? Let’s all take a second and admire that nug you have sitting in front of you. And don’t lie, I know it’s there. Cannabis is one of the most magnificent plants, but where did it come from; what are it’s roots? (No pun intended.) I could sit and talk your ear off regarding the history behind the cannabis plant and give you the oo’s and ahh’s of the intensity at which is grows and the amazing medical benefits behind the different species of the plant. But, most of you would be sick of reading my less than mediocre spin on the Life of Pot, which is in fact, so incredibly fascinating. I would definitely not do it justice, however, there are two books I’d like to recommend everyone to read (listed below) for the ins and outs and some great information regarding the in-depth history of the cannabis plant, along with some “good to know” information, just in case you’re curious. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of other books out there with just as much accurate information, so please DIVE RIGHT IN TO THOSE AS WELL. (Seriously you guys, this stuff is so fascinating.) But the ones below are just a few of my favorites, as well as easy to read and understand.

The first book is “The Emperor Wears No Clothes” by Jack Herer. This book is a dive into the history of the cannabis plant, filled with interesting pictures, snippets, and all around easy-to-read information.

The second book, “Cannabis Pharmacy” by Michael Backes. This book is awesome if you want a short overview of history, along with varieties of cannabis (strain background information), as well as medical uses of cannabis.
